Research

Access to research resources on campus: You need a virtual private network (VPN) to access resources that are available only to IP addresses at ISU. For more details, please refer to the setting guide to the TWAREN SSL VPN. Please note that the quality of internet connection depends on the speed provided by your service provider.

Once connected via the VPN, you can not only read periodicals indexed in the ACM Digital Library, the IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL), the EBSCO, the ScienceDirect (SDOL), the CommonWealth Magazine Group Database, and the Airiti Library but also access the McGraw-Hill ebook, the udn Library, and the HyRead eBook. For more details, please visit Library Services on the website of the Office of Library and Information Services. May we remind you that the VPN service is available only to ISU faculty members and students. Any infringement of a third party’s rights or illegal downloading is strictly prohibited.

The situation is changing rapidly. If you need to carry out a research project or attend an international conference abroad, please keep yourself updated on research-related measures on the website of the Office of Research and Development. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to email to fanni6611@isu.edu.tw.
