[Notice] Affidavit to ISU for Current International Student) who going back 2022 summer break


Content

1. International Students who plan to go back home during the summer break are required to apply for permission through the Office of International & Cross-strait Affairs (OICA). A signed affidavit is to be submitted before leaving Taiwan. Failing to report to OICA and obey the policies is subject to school and government regulations and related punishments.
2. International Students holding a valid ARC can enter Taiwan, subject to Taiwan CECC’s latest regulation on border control. Please pay attention to your ARC expiration date, and apply for online extension within 30 days of its expiration. To obtain a copy of your Enrollment Certificate, pay tuition of 2022 fall semester, complete the registration process, and download it from the Information System. Note that if your ARC expires, you cannot enter Taiwan until you re-apply for a Resident Visa, and a Re-entry Permit through the University.
3. According to Kaohsiung CECC and ISU regulation, a student returning to Taiwan is required to undergo quarantine at a quarantine hotel in Kaohsiung. If rapid tested negative upon finishing quarantine period, they need to do Self-Health Management in a regular hotel. Please provide information on hotels 2 weeks prior to the return. Those who intend to quarantine at their houses, please submit application along with this affidavit.
4. Notice regarding international traveling:
(1) Before boarding the flight to Taiwan, all travelers must provide a COVID-19 RT-PCR test report (Eng. ver.) issued within 2 days prior to the flight schedule time;
(2) Log into the Quarantine System for Entry (https://hdhq.mohw.gov.tw/) to complete the online health declaration;
(3) Do not take public transportation (MRT or THSR) from Airport to the Quarantine Hotel. You can only take a designated Taxi or Bus at the airport.
(4) You are not eligible to apply for government quarantine compensation.
5. Complete your quarantine and self-health management period before school start date on 2022/9/12. The disease prevention leave will not be available in your case.
6. Join OICA official Line group for international students (@552vqtye) to receive updated COVID-19 policies and measures.
7. If you cannot return to Taiwan due to later pandemic development, online courses and tuition discounts are not applicable for 2022 Fall semester.
