Electrical Engineering

Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering at I-Shou University (ISU)! This website provides information about the programs and research activities of the department. Currently, the Department offers the Ph.D., Master's and Bachelor's degree programs in electrical engineering and an evening program which leads to the Master's and Bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering technology. The undergraduate enrollment currently is about 850 students. The graduate program offers Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with a diverse student body of 140 students.

Electrical Engineering at ISU fosters leading-edge research and researchers in a variety of areas. ISUEE offers degrees in electrical engineering covering main technology topics in areas such as communication, photonics, microwave engineering, control system, robot, image processing, digital signal processing, energy system, power electronics and power system. The Department is committed to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of the academic enterprise. Till now, there are 30 faculty members in the EE department.

Research & Labs: The six broad areas of emphasis in the department are communications, photonics, signal processing, control system, energy and power systems. The interest of the faculty and their current research falls generally into one of these areas.

Programs & Courses: The degree requirements and the lists of undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered by ISUEE via numerous courses.

Mission and Objectives: The mission of the Department of Electrical Engineering is to nurture graduates who can show an understanding of professional scientific and mathematical concepts and their application to practical analysis, design and development in the career. All EE graduates can use their professional skills and creative potential to create high technology that will improve the quality of life.
