About Us
The College of Medical Science and Technology, established in Academic Year 2021 with approval from the Ministry of Education, is a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fully integrated college in aspects of education and research. Students of the College of Medical Science and Technology are educated to apply technologies to healthcare and adopt interdisciplinary technology in order to promote health and enhance medical services.
The College of Medical Science and Technology aims to nurture specialists in medical sciences with the ability to innovate and work in a team in order to improve the research on medical science in Taiwan. Currently, there are four departments (the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Department of Biological Science and Technology, the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, and the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences), the Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering Center, and the Graduate Degree Program of Smart Healthcare & Bioinformatics under the College of Medical Science and Technology, constituting a solid foundation for the development of medical technologies. By pooling resources of hospitals, universities, research centers, and manufacturers, the College of Medical Science and Technology aspires to facilitate the domestic healthcare industry's development and growth and serve as a significant collaborative platform among universities, research centers, and manufacturers.
We believe that with a well-designed curriculum, outstanding faculty members, and the talent and interdisciplinary resources from E-Da Hospital, advanced specialists in medical technologies will be trained and nurtured at the College of Medical Science and Technology. In addition to recruiting distinguished teaching staff in different fields, the College of Medical Science and Technology encourages its faculty members to engage in practical research on medical technologies and students to practice with their hands, familiarize themselves with applicable laws and regulations, and receive general education about humanities so as to keep abreast of the trend of international medical technology development and train domestic students.
Five Goals
I. To create an educational environment integrating medicine and technology;
II.To nurture specialists in medical technologies with social concerns and technology expertise;
III.To improve consultation services on internships and employment;
IV.To encourage faculty members to conduct research on health promotion and practical research on medical technologies; and
V.To build an industry-university collaborative platform with hospitals and technology corporations.
