Principles of Handling Applications for Disease Prevention Leave by Students Leaving Taiwan in the Frist Semester of Academic Year 2020 (click here)
By following the University’s COVID-19 measures, students who a) was diagnosed with COVID-19, b) are required to be under home quarantine, c) are temporarily prohibited from entering Taiwan, or d) are required to conduct self-health management should file an online application for Disease Prevention Leave and attach supporting documents to the application:
1. If a student has to take leave due to COVID-19 infection or because he/she is required to be under home quarantine, he/she should upload supporting documents (e.g. governmental notifications) to the application.
2. If a student is temporarily prohibited from entering Taiwan or required to conduct self-health management as announced by the Central Epidemic Command Center, he/she should upload the passport and the boarding pass (including the country where he/she comes from, and the entry and exit dates).
3. If a student has a fever (ear temperature≧38˚C; forehead temperature≧37.5˚C), cough, difficulty breathing, or any respiratory disease symptoms, and should conduct self-health management as instructed by the doctor, he/she should first upload a certificate of seeking medical attention. The application will not be granted until the Health Section provides supporting documents to prove the application.
